A magical power place and a special insider tip is the chestnut grove with the thickest trees in Burgenland in the district of Liebing.
In the idyllic little town of Liebing, a district of Mannersdorf a.d. Rabnitz, several approximately 350-year-old chestnut trees stand. Some trunks have a circumference of up to 10 meters. Here, one can pause – far away from any traffic noise – and enjoy the beauty of nature.
In addition to the experience of seeing these unusually impressive tree giants, a visit to the chestnut grove is also positively beneficial from a health perspective. One should stay among the trees for at least 20 minutes to recharge. Several years ago, scientists studied the area around these tree giants and designated it as a power field. The radiation field under the trees resembles those in pyramids and is said to have a very positive and calming effect on people.
The chestnut grove is maintained by committed villagers in Liebing, the association D'Kaestnklauba, and the municipality of Mannersdorf a.d. Rabnitz – most recently, professional tree doctors pruned the trees to ensure that staying under them is not dangerous.
The chestnut grove was integrated into the Alpannonia long-distance hiking trail (http://www.alpannonia.at/) in 2013.
You can visit the tree giants at any time. The power place is freely accessible and open around the clock!
